Unify - Siemens HiCom-HiPath 3000 - IP connection

These instructions help you configure your Siemens HiCom/HiPath phone system to work with TIM Plus. Contact your system maintainer if you are not familiar with the configuration of your PBX.

Support files​

Ensure the following support files exist in the /config/ folder of the TIM Plus application:

Configure the SMDR output​

You may need to purchase a license to enable SMDR on this PBX. Please speak to your system maintainer if you are unsure.

By default, the SMDR output of a Siemens HiCom/HiPath phone system is not enabled. Contact your system maintainer to enable it for incoming, outgoing and internal calls.

Configure TIM Plus​

Follow the steps below to configure TIM Plus to connect to your Siemens HiCom-HiPath:

  1. Click on the Directory tab.
  2. If you don't have a site set up, press Add and select PBX from the drop-down menu. In the dialogue window, name your site and then select Add.
  3. Locate the site object you want to configure in the Directory, click on it and select Properties. siemens_hicom_hipath_1
  4. In the Site Properties window, select Siemens HiCom-HiPath from the PBX model drop-down list.
  5. In the Connection method field, select Listen for connections from PBX from the drop-down list.
  6. Leave the Host field blank.
  7. In the Port field, enter 9000.
  8. Click on the Options tab and tick the Keep a local backup of any data tickbox, as shown below TIM Plus PBX backup options
  9. Click on the Save button to apply the settings.
